Time travel back and there’s countless other nodes in the web of relationship we all have with Trav and doing shit together going back in the years - parties, bullshitting at work, making art together. 	CONNECTIVE TISSUE - VOL. I Infinity is a path you can trace with your breath, & in your present moment awareness, & skateboarding the root chakra, & in the dreams of microbial ancestors, & in this cosmic music tape by Olympia noise project Connective Tissue. The sine waves of the synthesis carve deep channeled grooves, and the drums are focused and perseverant in a Crass kinda way. When I saw them play recently at the "Accidental Music" noise night, the infinity was flowing through my body as I stared at the ceiling of the Voyeur and took in the poetry scrawled on the skylight. huzzah. 	SHELTER MUSIC - NEW BRUALIST LAKE CELEBRATIONS A glowing exit sign in the wild at night, amps stacked behind a crescent moon in the hot dark flowering of the world. Cement and wood melt - you turn into a puddle and a sub-industrial leakage of ritual slips out the communal ear of the Great Link that has broken through some kind of temporal barrier. It's cold - the quest for fire, fueled by hand torn wood and giving music to the water which starts to dance in a blue teapot you pick up with a stick. The dogs show up just in time for prehistoric digital communication - it's out of time but centralized in place and the warmth is shared and enjoyed, a shimmering opening of presence. 	CHAIN LYNXX - WEEVOS Solo compositions from Mark E. Kaylor "The process for all these tracks was similar: I recorded mono tracks to 1/4" tape using percussion, bass clarinet, mic/amp, organ, trombone, maybe some other stuff. But all instruments recorded with an old dynamic mic live to tape. I played with oversaturation (which of course has a totally different character in the digital realm). Calling it "Weevos" which was a made up word my daughter used to use when she was a wee toddler, we never knew what it meant but at one point we named our Volvo wagon that name."	YSFWP026 Winter 2024
	DEFACEMAN - PLAYS A POEM ABOUT YOU Yard Sale for World Peace is grateful to facilitate the newest release from legendary olympia / los angeles group DEFACEMAN. This band is fearless! Various past iterations of DEFACEMAN have made me think of power violence, wall of sound electronics, royal truxisms, hardcore, proletarian poetry, maybe continuing the spiritual tradition of the Situationists, shreds videos (youtube.com), non-aligned punk, I’m not totally sure. Well, the hashtags have never felt so far away, especially after laughing and raging and bobbing my head cruising around Olympia doing errands listening to this new DEFACEMAN tape. It takes some bravery to cross to the other side but it’s alive over here. It’s a dimension I appreciate spending time in. Enchanting, heavy, funny, and money doesn’t exist, and there’s lots of philosophical gum and everyone’s chewing. This release takes the genre non-alignment game to another realm of DGAF. Fractal truths dance and shred through sheets of distortion from the other side of the curtain, then it’s impassioned acapella singing, then it’s an old fashioned punk song, then it’s brutal drum machines, then it’s base-jumping into autotuned power electronic drone embroidered with extremely beautiful thoughts from the future. Really patient and expressive, and also really down to Earth. And under the Earth. Makes you want to jam. This band channels freedom in this way where, when we jammed it on the home stereo it resulted in me and some friends playing dress-up in the living room and inventing new colors. Some of the most obscene static and peaking distorted sounds shapeshift in front of you, suddenly they appear like menacing sculptures that we found while tripping after the next nuclear war. It’s a really beautiful process to participate in, when we give ourselves enough courage to sit with the intensity and the vibrancy of all the noise, and discover the sculptures aren’t menacing at all. They’re more like, fun to climb on and surf down and tumble through and be friends with. Alice sounds kinda like the singer from The Cars when she belts out “When I leave you a voicemail- I hope it ends up in one o’ your songs- like how the way you make me feel ends up in my poems.” And I really felt that. -Travis	YSFWP025 Winter 2024

Divisions of labor are scrambled and inherited forms lie spent on the ground, hollow and irrelevant. Scalpy and Meanstreetz begin in this white light, where pitch and repetition, where fear and liberation, expression and composition, all sing as one lifeblood. "I think for me the important aspect to this recording is its difference compared to most of my recent solo output which is 100% improvised. These are all multi-tracked and yes there is improvisation in there, but in most cases there was always a sketch or loose composition in mind when recording. This is also the 31st physical release in my discography but only the 2nd of solo recordings...the last of which was way back in 2003 or something! If anything I was trying to present a rough sketch of my sound world, being as simple & direct as I could with the instruments that surround me & play a part in my daily life today & always." 	Live on the Oregon Coast by Free Sound Shelter System Recorded live at Tillicum Beach on September 12, 2021 Field recordings found at Tillicum Beach, Alder Dunes, and Yachats State Park Free Sound Shelter System has spent the last year in residence in the forest outside of Olympia, WA. Hijacking the power source of a small picnic shelter, Free Sound Shelter System sits in as collaborators with the existing soundscape, engaging in experimental improvisations exploring love of sound and the living world. Weekly two hour aural meditations are followed by an extended period of discussion surrounding personal/collective experience, observations of nature, and the felt experience of interrelationship between the two. Live on the Oregon Coast is a document of playing for love and joy, recorded on the beach as a free form improvisation with the Pacific Ocean. All profits will be donated to EGYHOP, an all volunteer-run organization that provides emergency supplies, services, and resources to unhoused and street dependent people in Olympia, Washington.
